The Diepenheim Record
A horror investigation in the fog of the Dutch countryside, where a single adversary learns from everything you do.
Something is wrong in Diepenheim.
You are a field agent of the Crack Mac Foundation, sent to a quiet parcel of Twente farmland after the reports stacked up. Fog that will not lift. A four-note whistle falling in the dark. Broken bicycles, blood in the wet grass, cat bells ringing from empty fields.
The locals have a name for it. Adje Mossink. He is old, patient, and rarely seen, closer to the logic of the land itself than to any monster. Work the village, read the evidence, brew what will protect you, and pin reality back down before it folds. What you carry into the last field, and what you have learned by then, decides how it ends. He is learning too.

The dark is a mechanic, not a filter.
Every frame is a real location with its own light and fog. Where a scene is lit, it is lit the way you would light it in play, by throwing a flare. Select any image to view it full size.
One adversary. No filler.
Everything hostile is Adje
There are no random monster spawns to grind through. The echoes, the false villagers, the presence, the thing in the barn: all of it is one adversary wearing the countryside, and it adapts to the way you fight.
Fear you have to manage
Fear rises in the dark, in the fog, and near anything wrong. Past a threshold your map begins to scramble. It only recovers on lit, safe ground, and any active threat stops that recovery cold.
Light is a decision
Your torch is free and never runs out. Flares are not. They are your only relief from fear in the field, they hold the echoes back, and they are the one reliable way to make Adje vulnerable.
Preparation matters
Scan the evidence, question the villagers, recover the recording, brew the counter-agent, read the stone in the last field. Arrive at the finale unprepared and it goes very differently.

Run the installer and it adds a desktop shortcut you can double-click to play. It installs for your user only, so no administrator rights are needed.
